Final thoughts on “The Walking Dead” Final Season.

The Last episode of Walking Dead was November 20th 2022, and it has taken me sometime to process what I think about how they wrapped up 11 seasons. I stopped watching the show after Episode 16 season 8 called Wrath. I was upset when Rick decided to save Negan. This killed it for me, but my friends were still talking about the series and I picked up news from Facebook and other Social media sources. So when the said that season 11 was going to be the last I started watching the whole series from the beginning season one. I caught about the same time when Season 11 started.

From season 8 a lot happened and I was kind of sorry I gave up on the show, but to bring it to a conclusion with the Commonwealth was a bit too much for me. Of all the story lines I really felt they destroyed the group I had watched and learned to love. I did not feel that the group had that family feel to it anymore. But the way they reformed Negan was brilliant I thought. He really went through a change. I felt bad for this man. When I seen him with Glenn and Maggie’s kid Hershel, and he told him he killed his father, that was tense. I kept on wondering if Negan and Maggie was going to kill each other? But no they are going to have a show together and I can not wait to watch. I just can’t imagine them working together again after season 11. But trailers for the show look real good.

I thought they could have focused on the group surviving like they did before and fight to get to a left over government refuge, not bringing down a rogue refuge government system. However I did enjoy the battle seances of it coming down, it’s just that the Commonwealth made me forget that I was watching the Walking Dead. It was a very strong story and yes it was well written, but I was disappointed it took away what made the show so great. I was wanting them to honor everything the group had lost, I did not get that feeling. but the final episode brought it all home for me. The goodbyes gave me a few teary eyed moments. When Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier said their good byes, That was huge for me and I was really happy that Ezekiel returned to be a community leader I was really happy with that. So I guess in the end all went well

I will limit watching A & E and all affiliated Television networks

By no means do I claim that I am perfect in the eyes of God, I have my flaws. Watching TV is not part of the plan of salvation as said in the Bible. While I do not follow the Bible word for word, it is my best book of instruction to live my life right. Anyone that follows me knows I watch most types of TV and movies. My TV habits includes questionable viewing. I watch movies from G to R ratings. I like my TV, it is my choice. I am not offended by what I see , no matter if it is horror, crime or other violent content. IT IS MY CHOICE to watch all media and IT’S MY CHOICE to watch movies that where not the critics choice. IT’S MY CHOICE to watch what I want. If I am offended I know how to change the channel or walk out of the theater.

One of the programs I do not watch is Duck Dynasty because I am not a huge fan of reality TV. IT’S MY CHOICE. I don’t hate Duck Dynasty, I just chose not to watch it. However I really do like the values that the Robertson family stands for.  Yes IT IS THEIR OPINION but it is a OPINION that I share and agree with them about. The Bible is a book that you CHOOSE to believe or not BELIEVE. It is up to you, there is no law forcing you to believe, which means if you CHOOSE to believe a part that is not popular with public media driven opinion, you should not be punished for it.

Phil Robertson has been fired for sharing his opinion. and that in my OPINION is wrong. What he said in a interview with GQ magazine was HIS OPINION and I happen to agree with HIS OPINION. THAT IS MY CHOICE, it’s not hate , IT’S MY CHOICE to agree with him.

Therefore, it is of MY OPINION that A&E networks does not share my right to CHOOSE WHAT I BELIEVE . Unless there is a full apology to the Phil Robertson and his family, I will ignore what programing is on A&E networks, that includes BIO, HISTORY CHANNEL, LIFETIME and LMN Networks or any other channel I discover that is connected with A&E. IT WILL BE MY CHOICE to watch a program on there network IF I CHOSE TO but for the most part if I find out that a show is on a A&E Network I will ignore it.

You might ask since I don’t watch Duck Dynasty, why would I Care? It’s because I support FREEDOM OF CHOICE TO BELIEVE WHAT YOU BELIEVE for all people not just the media driven popular opinions. You can not and should not punish a person because his opinion is not a popular or does not support your beliefs. If A&E Networks does not support FREEDOM OF IDEALS AND SPEECH Then I can not support them having a network and will not watch their networks.
